Drink’s quality work in sustainability reporting speaks for itself— not only by receiving local and international awards, but also by adhering to global reporting standards like those of the United Nations Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative. More companies the world over are starting to recognize the value of strategically integrating sustainability into their businesses, and use sustainability reports to document their efforts for regulators, investors, and other stakeholders. Some companies opt to release an Integrated Report (IR), a report specifically aligned with the Integrated Reporting <IR> Framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). The <IR> Framework enables companies to present how they create value through six means or “capitals”: financial, manufactured, intellectual, human, social and relationship, and natural.
Among the companies leading the shift to sustainability in the country is the holding company First Philippine Holdings (FPH). This year, FPH formally committed to “forging pathways towards a decarbonized and regenerative future” through its very first IR alongside IRs of its energy subsidiaries Energy Development Corporation and First Gen Corporation. By reporting on economic, social, and environmental impacts across their organizations through the lens of integrated thinking, these three industry leaders are able to detail their current operations as well as future plans to further upscale their efforts.
Having worked on the production of all three IRs, Drink is honored to be part of FPH’s milestone accomplishment in its continued dedication to sustainability and business excellence.
