The Net Zero Carbon Alliance, of which Drink is a pioneer partner, recently celebrated its second anniversary. The conference, which was entitled “Zeroing on Net Zero: From Corporate Pledges to Action,” focused on how Philippine companies can begin or further their net zero strategies.
At the event, our Sustainability Associate Michael Bolalin delivered a talk on GHG accounting. He discussed how managing and calculating GHG emissions is critical to reducing the impacts of climate change. The talk also included an activity wherein attendees calculated the GHG emissions made from traveling to the event, which amounted to 8,621.67 kgCO2e from 118 participants.
To offset these emissions, 280 Philippine native trees will need to be planted. 10% of this amount will be planted under the EDC Binhi CommuniTree Platform.
