As we face the looming issue of a changing climate, solutions must be found to mitigate its impact and transition to a more sustainable future. One such solution that is gaining traction is the transition to a net zero economy.
Drink CEO Harris Guevarra describes net zero as achieving a balance between the amount of GHG emissions produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. It entails reducing emissions as much as possible and offsetting any remaining emissions through initiatives like reforestation or carbon capture technologies.
Transitioning to a net zero world is vital to mitigate climate change effectively and limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, as outlined in the Paris Agreement.
How can Drink help?
As a pioneering member of the Net Zero Carbon Alliance in the Philippines, Drink Sustainability Communications can provide invaluable guidance if your company or organization is interested in transitioning to a net zero future.
Drink’s carbon management service: GHG Emissions Accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3), provides a thorough inquiry into the client’s data and operational processes and presents an overview of their GHG emissions and emission sources through a five-step procedure that starts with a GHG Kickoff Workshop and review of existing data to GHG Emissions Accounting.
Through GHG emissions accounting, companies are taking a step further in understanding their impacts and showing commitment to their sustainability goals. The results of GHG accounting help organizations in tracking their emissions performance, guide them in setting net-zero targets and drive positive change within the industries they operate in.
